Brendan Keegan Honored by NH Business Review

Merchants Fleet announced that CEO Brendan P. Keegan has been honored by NH Business Review as one of the most influential leaders in the bi-annual New Hampshire 200 list.

Now in its second year, the New Hampshire 200 is the product of a year-long research initiative by the editors of NH Business Review, resulting in an insightful and engaging look at the state’s most influential business leaders across major industries. NH Business ReviewNow in its second year, the New Hampshire 200 is the product of a year-long research initiative by the editors of NH Business Review, resulting in an insightful and engaging look at the state’s most influential business leaders across major industries. NH Business Review

“As a NH native, this esteemed recognition means the world to me,” said Keegan. “There was a time when many people didn’t understand what fleet does or how it affects their daily lives—But with shipping at the forefront of everyone’s minds these days, Merchants has changed how people view fleet, and I’m incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished as a team.”

Keegan joined Merchants in 2018, having previously served the company as a client, board member, compensation committee chair and strategic advisor. During the first three years of his tenure as CEO of Merchants, Brendan led the company to meteoric growth, and relocated the corporate headquarters to a state-of-the-art 55,000 SF facility in Hooksett, NH. He also implemented a major rebranding and launched an innovative new strategy that put over

150,000 Merchants Fleet vehicles on the road nationwide. All of this led to the 60-year-old company having its best year ever, with 8 million packages per day delivered throughout North America in a vehicle managed by Merchants Fleet.

Keegan will continue this upward trend as he sets his sights on fleet electrification, to support sustainability efforts of companies nationally. Merchants is working toward having 50% of its mobility fleet portfolio electric by 2025, and 50% of its managed fleet portfolio fully electric by 2030. Under Brendan’s leadership, Merchants is collaborating with major manufacturers and charging partners to create an innovative ecosystem which enables the seamless adoption & integration of electric vehicles for Merchants’ clients.

“We are pleased to announce this year’s New Hampshire 200 list, which spotlights a truly remarkable group of individuals leading the Granite State in their respective industries,” said Jeff Feingold, editor of NH Business Review. “This list has been months in the making and has involved extensive research, interviews, and communication with our contacts in regional business circles. We look forward to providing the people of New Hampshire this inspiring look at the individuals who are making an immeasurable positive impact on the state, and to honor Brendan Keegan in our 2021 New Hampshire 200.”
